The Association has the explicit intention to facilitate the formation of joint registrations for Ethanol and the associated substances under UK-REACH before the 28 October 2023 deadline. Details of the implementation (such as legal and contract arrangements) are still being worked out and Association members will be informed in early 2021 once requirements are clarified.

 

UK-based members with EU-REACH registrations are reminded that they have 120 days from the end of the transition period to claim grandfathering rights under the new regulation. Association members who wish to import into the UK have 300 days from the end of the transition period to effectively pre-register via an OR or affiliate. Note that in the latter case, there are restrictions on the qualifying dates to claim this phase-in status.
